18th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Informatics & Cognitive Computing

18th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Informatics & Cognitive Computing (IEEE ICCI*CC 2019)

Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy, July 23-25, 2019

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is opening up unprecedented opportunities and challenges for humanity. It affects the way we perceive, construe and interact with the world around us at all levels: social, psychological, economic, political, scientific and cultural. The greater speed of technological over cultural evolution magnifies the challenges. The enormous potential of emerging technologies, juxtaposed with the possible risks of massive unemployment and rising inequalities, calls for a greater awareness and responsibility to maximize positive impacts on human welfare and well-being. This will entail new governance structures, a need for new paradigmatic thinking in the arts and sciences, enhanced decision-making capacities, fostering creativity and radically reforming the current education system to better reflect the needs of the 21st century.

Here is a general list of topics to be explored:

  • Foundations of Symbiotic Systems
  • Technology and Society
  • Symbiotic Autonomous Systems
