  • Xerte

    The Xerte Project provides a full suite of open source tools for elearning developers and content authors producing interactive learning materials. Xerte Online Toolkits is aimed at content authors, who will assemble content using simple forms. Content authors can easily collaborate on projects. Xerte Online Toolkits is in use in hundreds of institutions all over the world, with an active community of users and developers.

  • Xical

    With Xical you can produce web-based slide shows, tutorials, tests and whatever else you can think of that can make use of integrated rich media, such as audio (speech and music), video, animations or interactive visual diagrams and the likes. You can also use Xical to make distributable presentations that run locally. So you can use Xical just like you would use any other media rich presentation application.

  • Zotero

    Zotero is a powerful, easy-to-use research tool that helps you gather, organize, and analyze sources and then share the results of your research. Zotero is the only research tool that automatically senses content in your web browser, allowing you to add it to your personal library with a single click. Whether you're searching for a preprint on arXiv.org, a journal article from JSTOR, a news story from the New York Times, or a book from your university library catalog, Zotero has you covered with support for thousands of sites.

  • Youtube

    YouTube is a video-sharing website owned by Google since late 2006, on which users can upload, view and share videos. The website uses Adobe Flash Video and HTML5 technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including video clips, TV clips, and music videos, and amateur content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos.

  • Yahoo Groups

    Yahoo! Groups is one of the world’s largest collections of online discussion boards. The term Groups refers to Internet communication which is a hybrid between an electronic mailing list and a threaded Internet forum, in other words, Group messages can be read and posted by e-mail or on the Group's webpage like a web forum. In addition, members can choose whether to receive individual, daily digest or Special Delivery e-mails, or simply read Group posts on the Group’s web site. Groups can be created with public or member-only access.

  • WizIQ

    The WizIQ Virtual Classroom can be used to to deliver live classes to any number of students, online. Organizations can run a complete online learning program with WizIQ. You can add multiple teachers and deliver classes on a personalized portal for your organization. WizIQ is extensible and integrates with your existing website, LMS, & content management system using APIs; or with a plugin for Moodle.

    Wikiversity is a Wikimedia Foundation project devoted to learning resources, learning projects, and research for use in all levels, types, and styles of education. Wikiversity is a center for the creation of and use of free learning materials, and the provision of learning activities. Wikiversity is one of many wikis used in educational contexts, as well as many initiatives that are creating free and open educational resources.

  • Wikispaces

    Wikispaces Classroom is a social writing platform for education. We make it incredibly easy to create a classroom workspace where you and your students can communicate and work on writing projects alone or in teams. Rich assessment tools give you the power to measure student contribution and engagement in real-time. Wikispaces Classroom works great on modern browsers, tablets, and phones. Wikispaces Classroom is free for teachers and students.

    WikiEducator is a dynamic and exciting community of educators who believe passionately that learning materials should be free and open to all. The WikiEducator is an evolving community intended for the collaborative planning of education projects linked with the development of free content, development of free content on Wikieducator for e-learning, work on building open education resources (OERs) on how to create OERs, networking on funding proposals developed as free content.

    WebEx Communications Inc. is a Cisco company that provides on-demand collaboration, online meeting, web conferencing and videoconferencing applications.
